“Sensitive Habitat”

I used to enjoy cruising for sex. I also enjoy hiking. Upon my hiking trips, I used to see these signs that would state that you had to “Keep Out! Sensitive Habitat”. That stuck with me and I wanted to depict a queer space where gay men could enjoy each other’s company and get their rocks off. I wanted to make the viewer feel like they have stumbled upon this scene where they are being invited deeper in to experience all the delights a sunny, autumn day has in the in store for them in the park. On the hill, it’s hard to make out, just as if you were wandering and you could tell something clandestine is going on and upon getting closer – you can figure out what’s happening.
