Slogan

Drub with mohawkI've always enjoyed drawing. I started drawing when I was two. My working class parents saw something in me and fostered my love of cartoons and drawing in general. I drew a great deal as a kid, when I wasn't playing in the woods, building treeforts, pouring over maps of places I wanted to visit, and people watching.

When I turned 15 and when most of my friend's thoughts turned toward girls, mine turned toward other guys my age, some a bit older than me, and some of the tough, hardworking men I'd see. My secret drawings were stashed away, under my bed or in more hard-to-find places for midnight meat beating. At this tender age, I knew what I liked but like coming out, it took me a little while to realise these kinks and tastes.

I graduated from rolled up paper to sketchbooks in college while I came to grips with all the things I liked doing. While strengthening my abilities and gaining the courage to be honest about what turned me on, I showed a few like-minded individuals what kinds of kinky stuff I was putting in my sketchbook. The responses were shocking in that kind of "Gabba Gabba Hey!" kind of way.

Drub, Bondage, SpoogeWith my first PowerMac, I learned all I could about the internet and web design and launched my own site. I put a few of my pictures up and the response to these drawings floored me! People wanted them, these simple extentions of my personality and jerk off material. Who would have guessed this would have happened?

I developed a process of taking a sketch to a finished, inked-in drawing to the computer for digital painting. The end result are high resolution acid-free, archival, light-fast prints suitable for framing. I do commissions and sell all the pieces you see in my gallery in limited edition runs of prints. People have taken my art and put it on their walls of their bedrooms, playrooms and even put it on their skin! I really enjoy the work I get to do for people, the magazines I choose to work with, and have started approaching galleries to show my work in.

Drub in JockOutside of my illustrations, I have a life outside of these dirty drawings, which is just a section of my life that I've decided to put out on the web. I enjoy gardening, boxing, Ultimate Fighting, maintaining my vintage Vespa 50 S, traveling, and going to see a punk or ska show when I can be bothered to mingle with people, attending gallery openings, eating really good food, appreciating and coveting industrial design and modern homes, and on sunny days I go to the beach or kick back in my hammock. Smart, witty company with good taste in music, a sense of humor, and live life to its fullest always grab my attention first. I love a good arguement and sometimes find that to be better foreplay than physical contact. Hedonist? Maybe. All I know is I enjoy being alive.

Drub and his 1964 Vespa 50S There's no love lost between me and racists, religious people and I have a low tolerance for bullshit and pretentious assholes. At first glance of my blog, I can come off intolerant, opinionated, and stubborn but then again that's just me blowing off steam or getting into the thick of something I feel real passionate about. For all the haters out there who deem me to be a "bit too much", "angry" or "way too kinky" for their liking, lighten up... you only live once.
