I heading to Chicago for MIR in the first week of November. I’ve got a bunch of stuff to take with me as I’ll have a booth where you can get your hands on some very rubbery art and cards to take home to decorate your den of iniquity or give to that special loved one.

So… here’s the thing. I don’t want to put up in a hotel. Anyone in Chicago want to put me up? Hit me up!

Now, what to pack from my extensive rubber clothing collection?

Jocks and watersports and punks – OH MY! Another piece for another client in Seattle. I present, “Pit Stop”.

Yep. That’s the theme. If you are in Seattle this weekend, head on over to The Cuff for the Northwest LeatherSir, Leatherboy and Bootblack contest events! Since coming back from Seattle, I’m suddenly finding myself bombarded by commissioned work. I’m totally not complaining – I’m celebrating! Five pieces for clients, card orders from shops, Dirty Bird Pictures is upgrading his logo, Fist Fest has my image on t-shirts, Instigator has a blurb on me (issue 19) on my skateboard decks and now I’m getting little hot gifts in the mail: well worn socks and other things from people who appreciate what I do.

It’s a great day to be a pervert!

I’m guessing that this means the long dry winter has given way to spring or for all you financial analysts out there, the economy or something is suddenly on the upswing. I’ll be sure to update things as we go. There will be tons of scanning to do for the commissions to move forward with my clients this weekend.

You see them all over the place and in a wide variety of personal styles. The UK gave us skinheads and the more enduring image of what a punk is and Southern California answered back with their own subculture – guys on skateboards. Sporty, sweaty, sinewy daredevils on planks of wood and tacked on trucks and wheels. Scourge of public sidewalks and police everywhere, rulers of the abandoned drained, below-ground pool, and seemingly closet sneaker fetishists! My heart skips a beat when I hear the oncoming CLACK CLACK CLACK of ball bearings and board on the cracks of the sidewalk.

My love of boys on boards goes long and deep and I’ve nearly wrecked several cars craning my neck, mesmerized, to look upon such youthful beauty and rebellion, soaking in every drop of sweat and flouting fashion norms back in the day, and clocking every scratch and scrape of an all-balls-out ride of their life as if to say, “I’m fuckin’ invincible!”

Always having a soft spot for certain subcultures and all they encompass on so many levels for me, and loving some of the most amazing art personalizing these boards they ride, I thought, “What a great place to plunk down some kinky art!”

I’ve stuck a deal with a skateboard deck art/design company to produce 3 unique new designs made specifically for the wooden canvas, which I will make available to you all as well!

The themes? Well, it wouldn’t be me without the fetish exploration, but whereas I usually approach something from the position of a cherished memory, this time I’m focusing purely on the idea of a chosen specific fetish near and dear to my heart.

My first fetish I ever came to grips with was my love of sweaty socks and socked feet – so the first board will deal specifically with that theme. The second deck will be adorned with a very similar styled board dealing with very sniffable and lickable leather boots. The third perverse panel drips with piss and watersports. Watch this space, true believers.

I think I better go take care of this stiffy.

Originally, this was a concept design I proposed to Ft. Troff and I fear it fell on deaf ears. *Shrug*
I thought it was too good to pass up myself and I think I’ll use it. It’s a first pass and I wouldn’t mind feedback and comments. I decided to do a different approach with the art being so colorful and go for spot colors and something really messy, yet keeping the character unmistakably done by me.

Originally, “Splat!” was “Impale” and I thought maybe I was dangerously close to anal pare territory or funnier, Vlad the Impaler territory… hence the change. Again, click on the image for full a larger view size.
